David and I first became members of the Western Equestrian Society in the 1980s. Back then, the prospect of being asked to host a national show never even entered our minds. Fast forward to 2021 and we are so delighted and deeply honoured to be asked to host this wonderful event. We very much look forward to welcoming you all to Horse Creek Farm this August Bank Holiday weekend.
Preparing Horse Creek Farm for WES National Championships
As you would expect, we have all been working very hard behind the scenes preparing for this wonderful event.
Resurfacing the outdoor arena as well as updating and improving the facilities have all been on our, very long, to do lists. An extended spectator seating area has also been included in our works programme to cater for increased visitor numbers.
Throughout all our planning we have remained mindful of the need to be Covid safe for the comfort and safety of all those attending the 2021 WES National Championships here at Horse Creek Farm.
All Spectators Welcome
Spectators (free entry) are very welcome from 8am each day of the weekend and the cafe will be open for breakfasts too. From midday onwards, our licensed bar will also be open.
We look forward to welcoming everyone on 27th, 28th and 29th August 2021 when there will be a full range of Western riding discipline classes running throughout each day.
Event in Aid of Our NHS Heroes
The NHS Charity Western Pleasure Class will be run on Saturday 28th in the afternoon. This fancy dress class is very well supported by WES members and their horses. Lots of rainbows please.
