Sovereign Quarter Horses Hi-Point Awards for 2022

After two years of limited shows, and therfor limited point earning opportunities, we have decided that our 2022 show season will be extra special!

In addition to our on the day hi-point awards, we will be offering end of year hi-points for the following categories

  • L1 Walk Jog
  • Open Walk Jog
  • Overall Horse and Rider
  • Youth
  • Versatility Ranch Horse
  • UKPHA

The winners of each category will have the chance to win some fantastic prizes, including trophy buckles, sashes, and Sovereign Quarter Horses Merchandise.

We have 4 All-Breed Shows running through out the year where you can earn points towards these awards. The dates for these are 5th June, 17th July, 25th September and 16th October. Once all four shows have taken place, results will be calculated and the awards will be presented at our end of season awards evening on Saturday 5th November. If you are unable to attend the awards presentation, we will keep your award safe until you are able to collect it.

Hi-Point Awards Rules and Category Descriptions

In order to be in the running for the year end hi-point awards, you must attend at least two of the four shows, one of these must be the 16th October Championship Show.

L1 Walk-Jog – Points to be won in L1 Walk Jog classes only. These classes are for those in their first year of showing ONLY.

Open Walk-Jog – Points earned in Open Walk Jog classes. Points cannot be combined with L1 Walk Jog Classes. Anyone can enter these classes.

Youth – Points earned across any class level and any discipline, excluding VRH classes. Any rider aged 18 or under on 1st January 2022 are eligible for this award and to show as youth for the year. Please mark youth rider on all entry forms for shows.

Overall Horse and Rider – Points to be earned and accumulated in Novice and Open Classes, excluding VRH classes and Walk Jog Classes. This award includes points from Showmanship.

Verstaility Ranch Horse – This is our newest award and our first time offering it. Points are to be earned accross the four VRH classes; Ranch Conformation, Ranch Riding, Ranch Reining and Ranch Trail. Kindly sponsored by Vivien Hamilton-Carroll.

UKPHA – Points earned across all SQH classes and levels, with the award going to the highest point earning member of UKPHA. Must have a valid membership of UKPHA for the year of 2022 and be showing an APHA registered American Paint Horse. Kindly sponsored by UK Paint Horse Association.
