Our Versatility Ranch Horse clinic will be covering all the disciplines included in the VRH classes, including Ranch Conformation, Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail!
Ranch Conformation: In-hand class judged on your horse's conformational suitability for working on a ranch. Run like a halter class, however the handler dresses in ranch clothing and the horse wears a plain leather or rope halter with no bling/chrome. Looking for a natural ranch horse appearance.
Ranch Riding: Pattern class, can be one of the three optional patterns or made up. Judged the same as standard ranch riding classes with the same score system. Patterns must include walk, trot and lope in each direction as well as a turn, stop, back up and an extended trot and lope.
Ranch Trail: An obstacle pattern class to test the horse's ability to cope with situations which could naturally occur on a working ranch - including, but not limited to: walk/trot/extended trot/lope poles, solid gate, wooden bridge, backing and side pass obstacle, log drag and lasso obstacle.
