Return to Stallions At Stud

Old Vaquero

Old Vaquero

 (Cowboy)

2001 Bay Stallion by Master Jay (Colonel Freckles) and out of Lil Peppys Diamond (Peppy San Badger).
5 panel Negative

Cowboy was bred in Oklahoma by Pete Bowling and imported to the UK in 2006. He was shown on the Great British Reining team in 2008 by David Deptford. He was shown in reining very successfully with earnings of $4917.00.
He has a very quiet kind nature, much like his half brother and one of our stallions, Jays Smokin Story (Master Jay).

Cowboy has been standing at stud at Sovereign Quarter Horses since 2017. 2017 was his first year breeding and he produced 11 stunning foals in 2018. We were so pleased by these foals by him that we have put 11 of our mares in foal to him again this year.

Those who have bought outside breedings to this horse have been extremely pleased with their foals.

Old Vaquero will be standing at stud for the coming season, with chilled semen available at £800. We can provide mare boarding and covering services as well as being able to send the semen to you.
To enquire about any of his 2018 foals, the foals due in 2019 or breeding to him this coming season please email david@sovereignquarterhorses.com or enquire here.
