Charlene Carter Clinic Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th March
Charlene Carter along with her husband Mike own and operate Carter Show Horses, in Goodlettsville Tennessee. They have successfully trained and shown AQHA World and Congress Champions in numerous all round events. Charlene thoroughly enjoys judging and holds cards for AQHA, APHA, PHBA, NRHA, POA, ApHC, PtHC, NASMA, and NSBA.
She has had the opportunity to judge worldwide, including the AQHA Youth, Amateur and Open World Shows, All American Quarter Horse Congress, APHA Youth, Amateur and Open World, PHBA Youth, Amateur and Open World plus NSBA World.
As well as the ISHA and IEA Championships Charlene has judged the AQHA, ApHC, APHA European Championships. In 2015 she judged the APHA Youth World, the PtHC, PHBA World Show, APHA European Championships, NASMA Congress and the 2015 All American Quarter Horse Congress.
During 2016 she judged the IEA National Finals, the AQHA European Championships and the 2016 Appaloosa World Show. Additionally in 2016, Charlene coached the AQHA Youth World Cup Team for the United Kingdom. She enjoys the rewarding challenge of finding the best horses and riders, those that have the most natural talent and trained techniques.

AM Session: Showmanship At Halter
Charlene will be teaching you how to present your horse to a judge with poise and confidence, while maintaining balanced correct body positioning.
How to effectively present your horse in a class and understand what the judge is looking for.
Effective communication with the horse.
Accessing body position to exhibit your horse correctly
Overall presentation of the exhibitor and horse.
Discussing the Western Attire and what is required in the show ring.
Teach you how to set your horse up for inspection
PM Session: Western Horsemanship
Evaluating the riders overall presentation, confidence, poise and body position in a series of patterns prescribed by a judge.
Executing manoeuvres with subtle aids and cues.
Effective communication with the horse, supporting you with confidence and self-awareness techniques for the show ring.
Understanding how a class is scored
Clinic Times: 09:00 – 16:00 with break for lunch.
Cost: £180.00 per person, per day.
Spectators: £25.00 pp (1 free spectator is allowed per participant).
Stable hire available: £65.00 (covers weekend for up to 3 days, price excludes bedding).
Open to all levels, any breed welcome.
N.B All riders will be required to complete a Clinic Booking Form. Rider places will not be guaranteed until full payment has been received.
