AQHA UK Spring Show

P1070725We were thrilled to welcome back the AQHA UK Spring Show over the May bank holiday weekend.

With large classes and tough competition, we’d like to congratulate the team and clients who showed.

As usual, SQH bred horses dominated the Halter classes with Dorothy Coleman and Snippnbelles Star, along with Joyce Markham and Heir To A Cady taking home purple ribbons.  Nigel Crowe showing A Snip Of A Jay was the Champion Gelding under all judges with David Deptford showing his own Heir To A Jay taking home reserve Grand Champion in the Open division.

In the performance classes, Sarah Deptford riding Dorothy Coleman’s Snippnbelles Star showed really well.  David had great results in both the Reining with Tuff N Jay owned by Linda Joynes and with Classie Jay in Ranch Horse Pleasure.

Tracy Haynes riding Jays Centrefold had a great go in Horsemanship, Sandra Mitchell riding Im Sassy Story also had a great show.  Kate West, with Easy Jay Olena won her first reining class, Joyce Markham and Paul Fisher had great results also.

Interestingly, looking through the horses at the show, Jays Smokin Story was the stallion represented more than any other stallion, with 11 offspring showing at the event.  He is really a most fabulous stallion, who passes on to his offspring an easy going and forgiving nature, we’re so proud of him and his babies.
